Mike Wolfe was born in Joliet, Illinois, on June 11, 1964. Mike was reared by a single mother, Rita, along with his two siblings, Beth and Robbie.
He began picking at a very young age, removing old bicycles from a neighbor’s trash, when the family relocated to Bettendorf, Iowa.
Wolfe later began searching for goods to sell in alleyways and abandoned houses. Mike attended Sudlow Intermediate School and graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1982, where he met future “American Pickers” co-host Frank Fritz.
